Yahoo Map to the Rubicon Townhouse

From Reno NV.
To get there from Reno you will want to go south on HWY 395 to Carson city (Capitol of NV) then west on HWY 50 to Lake Tahoe. You will pass through Zephyr Cove, then Round Hill, and turn Left 1/2 mile further into Lake Village. If you reach the Lake Side Inn and Casino you have gone a few hundred yards too far on HWY 50 - turn around and go back to the first right hand turn.
At Lake Village, as you turn off HWY 50, you will be confronted by a "Y" in the road. Take the right hand leg and go to the second intersection and turn left on Lake Village Drive. Rubicon is on the right just before the stop sign.

If you were to take the left hand leg at the "Y" and go 2 blocks you would be at the security office. You need to let them know you will be staying there and which cars are yours.

*They will give you a parking pass to post in your car window.
When parking at the Snowbird Townhouse we ask that you not use more than one of the marked parking spaces. We have a garage and you can easily park a second and third vehicle in front of the garage doors. There are also parking spaces marked "guest" - please use these and not spaces marked for other units! Parking is a scarce commodity at Lake Village so we try to be considerate of the other residents.
From California
To get there from California you will want to approach Tahoe via HWY 50. After passing "Echo Summit" (the high point on Hwy 50)you will descend into the Tahoe Basin. The next decisive landmark will be "The Y". This is the first major intersection and it encompasses a movie theater, a K-Mart, and numerous "factory stores". Stay to the right here. This will keep you on HWY 50.

(Helpful Route Planning Hints for Getting to South Lake Tahoe: Hwy 50 is the fastest road from Sacramento to South Lake Tahoe. Hwy 50 is very busy with ski and tourist traffic at peak times and snow. To avoid heavy Hwy 50 traffic in South Lake Tahoe; take Pioneer Trail from Meyers CA to Stateline NV. Hwy 50 will have heavy traffic when there are: accidents, construction, or snow closures. Hwy 50, between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe, is congested at these times: all snowstorms, before skiing, after skiing, Friday afternoon, Sunday afternoon.)

Continue past the casinos. As you pass Caesar's you will come to a traffic light at Caesar's parking lot. Continue a block and you come to Kingsbury Grade and another traffic light. Continue on HWY 50 another block and you will see Burger King on the Right. Continue to the next right hand turn and you will be at Lake Village.

NOTE: The garbage cans are located in a "BEAR PROOF" box near the front door. Food and garbage items can only be placed in the "BEAR PROOF" box. This rule is strictly enforced at Lake Village! The goal here is to keep the bears away from the front door! Failure to follow this rule may result in a forfeiture of your security deposit! (In other words if we are fined for your non-observance of this rule we will apply the cost to your deposit.) Failure may also result in a rather exciting, up close and personal encounter with one of Yogi's cousins! On a more serious note, there haven't been any reported black bear sightings in Lake Village since the bear proof containers have been installed.
If you accumulate more garbage than can safely be placed in the "BEAR PROOF" box please take it to the security office where there is a huge refuge bin. Thank you in advance for your co-operation in this matter.
